Before + After: Office Redesign
Writing has been a long-time passion of mine. As early as elementary school, I entertained countless daydreams of penning books and magazines. Right out of college (2019), I worked for a chamber of commerce which taught me so much about economic development and how important it is to invest our dollars in entrepreneurs and small/local businesses. Later that year, I took a leap and relocated to Birmingham, Alabama, to work in magazine publishing for the luxury lifestyle industry—writing about tablescapes, artisans, home tours, and so much more. A small-town girl at heart, I knew big city life wasn’t in the cards for me long-term. With about five years of editorial experience under my belt, I now work for a university closer to home and will be channeling my creativity through this brand, freelance opportunities, and writing my first novel—a cozy mystery.
Sweet Holly Creates, LLC is a content and freelance platform designed for those who desire to reconnect with hands-on creativity and reawaken their curiosity by learning new skills and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Creativity
I am a firm believer that God, our Ultimate Creator, designed us to also create. There is so much fulfillment to be found in the creative process as we embrace our individuality and what we find beautiful and meaningful.
Curiosity
We don’t have to know how to do something before we get started. The joy is truly in the journey and there is always something to learn—from both our successes AND our failures. There isn’t judgement in curiosity. Just a pure desire to learn.

Life is enriched when we celebrate the achievements of others instead of operating from a mindset of competition. I plan to use my platform to encourage, connect, and highlight other creatives/entrepreneurs.
