The Tuesday Table No. 001: Summer’s Final Moments
One Muse, Two Tables, Endless Inspiration
Summer’s Final Moments
Frank Sinatra’s “Summer Wind” was the starting point for The Tuesday Table No. 001—not only for the playlist, but for the mood of the entire edition.
There’s something particularly lovely about the final days of July. Summer is still very much in session. The evenings are long, the flowers are in full bloom and dinner feels best served beneath the mesmerizing sunset. And yet, the return of structure and schedules hovers just beyond the horizon.
So, for the inaugural Tuesday Table, I wanted to linger there for a while.
The muse is the yellow Destree x Cabana dessert plate which features soft, sunny stripes around the border, a single peach block-print bloom at its center and clusters of green leaves that give the slightest nod toward the season to come.
From that one plate came two invitations.
One for a leisurely brunch with the girls.
The other for dinner for two with sunset views.
Same muse. Two very different tables.
