Stitch Sitch | Floral Fancies

A green-and-white gingham background with a white box that displays six floral needlepoint canvases. "Stitch Sitch" and "Floral Fancies" appear in green letters.

Needlepoint is having its resurgence and given the current the digital age, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Working with your hands—especially when it involves a repetitive action—has been proven to lower levels of anxiety. This hobby is fairly easy to take up—starting with the basic continental stitch. Plus, there are more advanced techniques that will keep you interested and learning. Below, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite floral canvases that prove April showers aren’t the only things bringing May flowers—and these timeless beauties last well beyond the summer months.

Founded by Krista LeRay (a creator/influencer I have followed since high school) in 2020, Penny Linn is the brand that first inspired me to give needlepoint a try. There are endless options to choose from with fun, modern designs and helpful tips for getting started. For floral fancies, I selected the Nantucket Basket with Hydrangeas, Hydrangea Ornament, Bowood Flower, and Yellow Roses.
